Welcome to Practical Scrappers June Blog Hop

Nothing says June like weddings so I am sharing 2 "sweet and simple" cards with you today!  The base is white cardstock, embossed with a Darice folder. The cross is Washi foil tape by Forever in Time, letters by Miss Elizabeth. Flower/bow is handmade.
A modern... yet fairy tale like... wedding card.  With the center opening, the bride and groom fold together and meet.  Below is the card interior, using the same glitter paper as the card base! All cuts are Cricut designs. Silver ribbon from Michaels.

Now if June says weddings, one year later, it  says "Happy Anniversary".
A plain ivory card with the "Happy Anniversary" greeting on it in gold metallic lettering is
made beautiful by an ivory velum overlay (with rose floral inlays). Just a touch of lace, handmade ribbon rose and chestnut glitter stem finish off the card. Velum from Beverly's, lettering is Recollections.
Here's a close up of the handmade ribbon rose and lace. I didn't have to worry about the adhesive showing through the velum as the lace went over the top.

And if you are blessed to know someone who is married for 50 years, they  deserve a great card at least!
