I stamped the initial images onto cardstock and on the stems, traced over it with my "Easy Sew" tool.
Using various shades of green embroidery floss, I covered the stems and then moved onto the actual flower heads. These were made with a combination of stitching and tying, leaving ends loose,
Practical Scrappers has a call out for projects with handmade flowers and another for creative use of stamps. I was trying to use my stamps in a unique way and ended up filling the requirements for both. Though its hard to see, some of the stamping is still there, making background flowers.

Wedding Friends and Family
4 Generations
4 generations of women... my mom Marilyn, daughter Christine and grandaughter Lucy in front of mom's home and her beautiful crepe myrtle tree. A simple green frame and then some flowers cut from Core Essentials paper (and sanded) on the Cricut (Walk in my Garden) with brads and scraps for centers tied the picture to the page.
