Room for 4 pictures and journaling on the tulips!
Room for 3 pictures. Random stars are popped up with foam dots.
Lots of fun embellishments on these pages including flowers and gems from Creative Charms.
Lucy loves to dress up and when she does, she dons everything that she is fond of at the moment. This often means layers of clothes and jewelry. She does know how to have fun!
This medallion flower is made using a Fiskars border punch. Paper is folded at about 1/4 inch.
This medallion flower is cut from a Martha Stewart border punch and folded at about 1/2 inch. I found it interesting how much difference the size of the fold makes. I determined the size of the fold by the points on the strip.
Little Lucy has been all girl from the start and loves dressing up. This was her first animal print outfit. The pink "co-ordinations" paper is embossed with an animal pattern, inked and sandpaer distressed. The animal print paper is flocked, black flower is glitter paper from Target. Polka dot and fuzzy ribbon are from Joanns. Pink bling and black pearls are from Want to Scrap, Lettering is Glitter Bling and bead flowers from Beadables. This is being entered in the Practical Scrappers ribbon challenge.
This was my second layout for the challenge but when I saw I wasn't going to get it done on time, I ate dinner. Finished up, in all they both took 1 hour 15 minutes plus upload time. A fun challenge and 2 more layouts done!
Paper - Hot off the Press
Courtney had asked for a tree skirt for Christmas but what is a tree without stockings!
At first I thought it a bit strange that she wanted silver and gold, white and lime green, but when I got them together and thought "modern", it was fun and eye catching!
The background is white satin with a silver checkered organza over the top. The trees are a lime satin with inbedded random rhinestones. The nativity a gold organza and the stars are a white organza with gold stars and dots set on a silver satin. Merry Christmas Courtney and Christopher!
It is always exciting to get all the "Stitchin' for Missions" quilts together and ready to ship around the world. The quilts were dedicated yesterday and the congregation laid a hand on the nearest quilt while we prayed for the recipients. Always a touching service. I am so blessed to have hobby where I can serve the Lord and get such pleasure doing it. Now onto children's quilts for an Apache Mission and their Christmas party.

Okay, I'll admit that this looks a lot like the end of school, not "Back to School" like the challenge. But before I even graduated, I was offered my first official teaching contract... provided I graduated. So though it was an end, it marked my "Back to School" beginning!
A chilly day in February doesn't stop the little ones from having lots of fun. Seagullls, castle and lighthouse are all from Cricut's Life's a Beach and both papers are sanded to show their white core. The letters are shaded with pink and orange chalk and the seashells are part of that California Adventure!
